As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will work closely with ownership to develop and implement strategies to drive profitability and ensure the long-term financial health of the company. Major Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguard company assets.

Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide accurate and timely information to management and stakeholders.

Manage the accounting function, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting.

Assisting with manufacturing cost accounting related to ERP system work centers, WIP, and routing, while also developing cost tracking systems for manufacturing processes.

Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.

Coordinate the annual financial audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion and compliance with audit requirements.

Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, including pricing, cost management, and investment opportunities.

Manage cash flow and working capital to optimize liquidity and support ongoing business operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies throughout the organization.

Mentor and develop finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Salary and Benefits:

The annual base salary for this position is $115,000-$145,000 with additional quarterly bonus potential. Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, participation in the company's 401k plan w/ a 3% match, 80 hours of PTO in the first year and 6 paid holidays.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.

5+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and how they relate to job costing

Detailed knowledge of inventory control systems, cycle counts, costing

Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.

Experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Proven leadership ability, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.

Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
