Columbia Basin Health Association Family Programs Supervisor in Othello, Washington
The position is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of program activities and supervision of staff for Family Services Programs such as Parents as Teachers (PAT) and Maternity Support Services Programs. This position assures that programs are implemented and operate in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, policies, and guidelines. This position is a working supervisor position with up to 50% of the time dedicated to providing direct services and coordination of outreach such as community participation and other program activities.

Management of daily work activities and supervision of program staff.
Responsible for successful implementation of programs.
Provides direct services and coordination of outreach activities
Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of all Family Services programs and clinic services in the community and provide job coverage for other departmental staff when needed.
Travels to support program activities and other work related activities, i.e. required program meetings, home visits and/or trainings.
Other duties as assigned.
Devotes the needed time during the work week to ensure positive patient outcomes and day-to-day objectives are met.
Promotes a positive work culture and upholds clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE Standards of Behavior. Must uphold confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHA.
Professional and Technical Knowledge:
Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communication skills and mathematical knowledge typically acquired through completion of an Bachelor’s Degree and relevant work experience in management and supervision.
Experience in working with at risk pregnant and parenting teens and families as well as providing outreach services.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of program implementation and operations.
Licenses and Certification:
- Possesses a valid driver’s license.
Ability to prepare basic correspondence and simple reports in Microsoft Word.
Ability to use Microsoft Excel to create tables and simple displays of information.
Ability to create basic presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Ability to perform basic e-mail functions using Outlook.
Ability to enter and manage data into a centralized electronic health electronic health record and WIC data system.
Job duties require the employee to effectively communicate their opinions and extrapolations of information they collect and synthesize/analyze.
Employees are required to negotiate resolutions to complex situations which may be inherently adversarial.
Duties require the compilation and analysis of information prepared in effective written form, including correspondence, reports, articles, or other documentation.
Duties involve convincing others to take actions or to behave in specific way desired by the employee.
This position requires bilingual skills including reading, writing and speaking in Spanish and English.
