Job Summary: SANITATION I: Sanitation crew member with daily responsibilities to include cleaning equipment and environmental surfaces, safe handling of chemicals, able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in English language, disassemble and reassemble equipment for cleaning Essential Functions of the Job: Ensure that all equipment and environmental surfaces are cleaned per SSOP, according to the cleaning record schedule, and using approved chemicals. Hand mix chemicals to approved PPM (parts per million) Follow company GMP's (good manufacturing practices) and all other quality programs as they relate to sanitation. Ensure cleaning records accurately reflect which equipment or surfaces were cleaned, that the correct chemicals were used, and that the cleaner's initials on the form are correct. Clean machines using water, detergent, or other chemicals. Perform other sanitation duties such as: squeegee water, mop floors, clean drains, shovel waste, and empty garbage. Disassemble equipment for cleaning, and reassemble when completed. Safely handle chemicals and able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while performing duties. Responsible for ensuring work area is clean and organized. Committed to ensuring that the products produced meet all food safety and quality requirements. Strictly adhere to all safety policies Supervisory Responsibilities: None Minimum Qualifications: Must possess High school diploma or equivalent and/or 1 year experience in related field. Basic mathematical skills. The candidate will be subject to pre-employment criminal background and drug screening tests. Any job offer will be subject to satisfactory completion of these tests.
