Job Summary: LEAD PRODUCTION WORKER II: This position is responsible for ensuring company standards are met on each shift and works alongside production, logistics and maintenance staff to support the production of high quality, safe product. Essential Functions of the Job: Adhere to company GMP's (good manufacturing practices), safety procedures and all other quality processes. Measures and reduces scrap and rework. Communicate any delays/problems that hinder production. Cleans and sanitizes primary processing and packaging equipment when required. Participates in proper shift hand off with oncoming/outgoing operators. Assign duties to thoroughly clean all machines at the end of each working week (including general housekeeping, picking up tools and anything else that does not belong in or around the machines). Participate in inventory cycle counts. Ability to trouble shoot equipment. Set up/disassemble processing and packaging equipment according to production schedule. Ensure secondary packaging lines are running at standards posted for each product, and able to perform tasks of a line lead. Use Oracle to perform tasks including back flushing of finished cases, batch returns and inputting of cartons, shippers and product. Must be dependable, demonstrate professionalism and have multi-tasking skills. Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required. All other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Ensure that workers are adhering to production schedule as outlined by management Act as relief shift Supervisor on all shifts where the Supervisor is out on PTO Oracle batch verification and completion Minimum Qualifications: High School Manufacturing environment experience and prior experience/internship with food companies preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Good verbal, written and multi-tasking skills. Experience with Oracle is beneficial. Knowledge and Skills: Ability to use critical thinking to plan and problem-solve.
