Providence St. Joseph Health Supervisor Security in Olympia, Washington

Description Oversees and maintains the flow and balance of work in the Security Department. Responsible for providing leadership, direction, and a working environment that promotes teamwork and customer satisfaction, and for ensuring that the standards of service are met for the Security department in a manner consistent with the Providence mission, vision and values. Persons holding this position must be able to perform all the duties and functions of a Senior Security Officer, including initial incident response, interviewing and investigations. This position may be required to work on multiple campuses and shifts. Acts as a resource and expert in Security matters for other departments or individuals and in committees. Assesses staff performance and conducts annual reviews, maintains time and attendance as well as staff performance records. Promotes the professional development of staff through training, guidance and coaching and through ongoing observation and assessment of staff performance. Is an effective steward of Providence resources and keeps within financial and labor budgets and identifies opportunities for further savings as well as needed capital investments to improve operational efficiency. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information Upon hire: Basic Security Officer Certification and Supervisory Development Certification through International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety Within 30 days of hire Certifications in Axon Taser, Force Options, and Verbal De-Escalation 3 years related experience and/or training desired, preferably in Healthcare Security and Safety Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent educ/experience or equivalent or two years of related training and experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in healthcare security Why Join Providence?
