The Strategy Advancement Advisor provides data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. Provides business intelligence and strategic planning support for business segments or the company at large. The Strategy Advancement Advisor works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The Strategy Advancement Advisor, for MSO Operations will partner with both corporate and market teams to support an industry leading MSO/IPA offering that will serve as a meaningful tool to develop provider partnerships and drive performance improvement and membership growth. This role is within Centerwell’s Primary Care Organization and requires an understanding of value-based agreements and primary care practice operations, including provider networks.
The Strategy Advancement Advisor will be responsible for becoming a subject matter expert on Centerwell’s MSO/IPA practice portfolio and associated support services that will lead to the expansion of value-add services, practice partnerships and market footprints. The incumbent will do this through a broad collaboration with partners across shared services, finance, contracting and our market leadership teams, among others.
The Strategy Advancement Advisor will be responsible for consistently reviewing practice portfolio performance and providing leadership with recommendations on opportunities to mitigate negative trends and to capitalize on evolving opportunities. The incumbent will be responsible for organizing and reacting to both quantitative and qualitative inputs. Additionally, the Strategy Advancement Advisor will support the market operations leadership team with project management for strategic and operational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
The Strategy Advancement Advisor of our MSO/IPA development drives business development and product strategy to meet membership sales and retention goals. The incumbent will partner with key Humana Stakeholders through the following ways:
Develop extensive knowledge and understanding of Centerwell’s MSO/IPA offering and corresponding provider and membership growth strategy
Work independently, and with market leaders to develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, understanding the relationships/impacts to Centerwell product portfolio
Leverages quantitative and qualitative input to design and maintain a program offering in an effort to drive channel growth and help the business consistently achieve related financial targets
Recognize trends that can complement and/or enhance product offerings
Work collectively with corporate and market partners to create transparency on portfolio performance, with recommendations on opportunities to improve performance at a program and provider level
Support market teams with complex negotiations, providing key insights that advance agreements with existing and new provider partners
Provide national and local market leadership teams with key reporting and insights that help drive alignment around portfolio performance and opportunities to improve
Collaborates across teams to provide meaningful input to drive strategic decisions around program design, contracting efforts and capital deployment
Maintain a focus on the ultimate objective of creating and fostering provider partnerships that are hyper focused on succeeding in a value based setting through improving patient health outcomes

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or other related fields
A minimum of five years healthcare experience supporting value-based programs, including the support of growth and advancement of performance within these programs.
A minimum of two years of experience in a strategic role, demonstrating expertise in managing large scale programs, managing across multiple teams with strong ability to align leaders to a common purpose
Motivated self-starter than can independently drive programs towards success
Proven track record of driving operational performance improvement
Outcomes focused individual that thrives on achieving quantifiable goals
Experience working across a segmented business to align partners towards a common goal
Ability to organize and analyze data to discover key insights and provide performance recommendations; experience building executive level reporting/dashboards
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to comfortably and effectively communicate with a variety of internal & external business leaders
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree preferred
Prior experience focused in strategy formulation and development

100% remote role
Standard working hours required; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Central or Eastern Time Zones
Occasional travel; 20-30% to various Centerwell and Conviva markets

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$115,200 - $158,400 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
