Robert Half is partnering with a dedicated and impactful non-profit organization based in Olympia, committed to making a positive difference in our community. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant on a temporary basis to join the finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Blackbaud, a leading software solution for non-profit financial management. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in managing financial operations using Blackbaud's software. This position requires a candidate with strong accounting skills, a passion for non-profit work, and proficiency in utilizing Blackbaud's features to support our mission.

Financial Management:

• Utilize Blackbaud to manage and oversee day-to-day accounting functions.

• Process and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Generate financial reports using Blackbaud for internal and external stakeholders.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Process invoices and payments using Blackbaud's accounts payable functionality.

• Manage donor contributions and ensure accurate recording of donations.

• Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.

Grant Accounting:

• Work closely with program managers to track and report on grant expenditures.

• Utilize Blackbaud to ensure compliance with grant funding requirements.

• Assist in the preparation of grant financial reports.

General Support:

• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.

• Participate in the annual audit process.

• Stay current on Blackbaud updates and best practices for non-profit financial management.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant in a non-profit setting.

• Proficiency in using Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT or similar non-profit accounting software.

• Strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles and regulations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
