Speed Safety Camera Systems Program Manager (WMS2) *Olympia, WA -- Headquarters $89,340 -- $114,576 Annually  * Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Transportation Operations Division is currently seeking to fill the Speed Safety Camera Systems (SSCS) Program Manager vacancy located in Olympia, WA. In this role, you will administer WSDOT's new statewide program related to traffic speed safety cameras and will be responsible for the development of policies that align with state objectives to improve road safety. The SSCS Program Manager will also provide strategic leadership, formulate statewide policy, provide programmatic oversight, direct the work, and collaborate with state agency partners. While the program is recognized as being led by WSDOT, it consists of participation by multiple state agency partners such as Washington State Patrol that has separate funding and responsibility from the legislature for the purpose of program enforcement and adjudication needs. Additional partners include the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH), the Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC), Department of Licensing (DOL), Department of Enterprise Services (DES), and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and other organizations committed to protecting civil rights. Given the multifaceted nature of the role, strategic decision-making and independent judgment are essential. Our top candidate must navigate various scenarios, from handling public inquiries to making critical decisions on program direction and policy interpretation. This requires a dynamic approach to effectively manage the speed safety camera system program.
