Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.We are looking for a Software Development Manager/Software Engineering Manager with a passion for building and leading hard-working teams. What we like to see in the Software Development Manager/Software Engineering Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Proven capabilities to connect with cross functional teams. We need you to be the bridge between business collaborators, development, and DevOps.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong decision-making skills to influence product roadmap direction, features, and priorities

  • 3+ years of experience leading software development teams, with 5+ engineers, as a lead/manager

  • 7+ years of experience developing software to build distributed applications and infrastructure

  • 3+ years of Agile project management experience

  • Experience with hiring, building teams, onboarding new engineers and ongoing performance management

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

What we love to see in the Software Development Manager/Software Engineering Manager:

  • Experience with analysis of business requirements and translating that analysis into actionable development efforts

  • Experience with web technologies such as HTML5, Rest APIs, JavaScript libraries and frameworks like React, Angular, Typescript

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, GIT, Jenkins

  • Proficiency with Node.js, PHP and/or Python

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

This job requires proficiency in the English language.
