The Senior Sales Trainer Software and Charging will be responsible for delivering selling skills, sales process, sales tools, and product training to the North American Ford Pro software and charging sales teams.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Trainer to join our Sales Enablement team. The Senior Sales Trainer Software and Charging will be responsible for delivering live and virtual training sessions, creating sales training materials, observing, and coaching field salespeople and reporting on training impact, all to support the various sales teams in achieving their sales targets. The trainer will also support the Sales Managers by providing sales coaching guidance and support.

What you'll do...

  • Collaborate with sales leadership: Work closely with sales leadership to identify training needs, develop training programs, and ensure alignment with sales strategies and goals.

  • Create training materials: Develop and maintain training materials, including presentations, videos, and other resources to support the sales team's learning and development.

  • Deliver live training sessions: Plan, organize, and conduct in-person training sessions for sales representatives across North America to ensure they have the knowledge and skills needed to effectively sell our products and services. Audience includes internal sales teams as well as supporting teams (such as Ford’s Dealer Sales Managers and National Account Managers). Topics will vary from selling skills and sales process to sales tools and new products.

  • Conduct virtual training: Develop and deliver virtual training sessions using various platforms to reach a wider audience and provide ongoing support to the sales team.

  • Observe and coach salespeople in the field by joining sales calls, attending virtual sales calls, and observing, documenting, and sharing feedback using a predefined rubric of best practices.

  • Measure training effectiveness: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of training programs and provide regular reports on training results to management.

  • Use a variety of training methods and techniques to engage and educate learners.

  • Stay updated on industry trends: Keep up to date with industry best practices and new sales techniques to continuously improve and update training programs.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing or a related field, or evidence of similar skills and experiences

  • 7+ years of experience in a commercial sales environment and/or SaaS

  • Proven impact as a sales trainer or enablement professional in a B2B environment.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate sales teams.

  • Proficiency in virtual training platforms and video conferencing tools.

  • Experience creating and managing training materials and content.

  • Strong analytical skills to measure training effectiveness and report on results.

  • Having held a commissioned sales position will help in this role

  • Having experience in Fleet Management, Telematics or Charging will also help with this role

  • Self-directing, able to operate independently, high impact-work ethic.

  • Ability to travel within North America as needed - expectation is 50% travel in first 3 months to meet with and observe sellers in the field and attend onboarding. Then approx. one week during each month to attend meetings in Michigan or some of the other regions.
