Job Information

Cadmus Senior Energy Analyst in Olympia, Washington

Overview

What You’ll Be Doing

Working as part of a collaborative and cross-functional team, you will help electric and gas utilities and regulators to meet their clean energy, energy demand management, grid modernization, decarbonization, and energy equity program goals. You will conduct data-intensive research and analysis to project energy savings and renewable energy development opportunities and develop tools that will allow decision-makers to plan for a clean energy future. You will distill and synthesize your research findings and interpret the results to draw meaningful conclusions and produce actionable recommendations. You will present your research, conclusions, and recommendations in succinct and visually compelling reports and presentations.

In this position you will have the opportunity to work on/support multiple projects at the same time and broaden your knowledge of clean energy and the utility sector. In a typical day you might do the following: build a Python or R-based model to estimate the cost effectiveness of different policy options to promote renewable energy, write-up your research findings for published and un-published papers, develop innovative approaches to solving clean energy challenges, conduct secondary research about emerging energy storage systems, and present your work to external or internal projects.

Our clients’ needs and priorities are continuously evolving, which requires our team to be flexible, adaptable, resilient and forward-looking. For this position we are primarily looking for an analyst to develop and run R and Python-based models. However, given the dynamic nature of our work our ideal candidate will also have the ability to work collaboratively, manage teams and tasks, write, and present and visualize complex information.
