Cardinal Health Senior Consultant, UX Researcher Lead in Olympia, Washington

Job Description:

The Cardinal Health Pharma ecommerce team is looking for a Lead UX Researcher to help us create digital experiences that empower patient care. We are looking for a passionate researcher and team player who will be part of a massive digital transformation effort. The Lead, UX Researcher will be responsible for uncovering our customer’s unmet needs and triangulating potential usability issues using a variety of data points including website analytics.

Essential functions:

This Lead UX Researcher will use a mixed-methods approach in uncovering and defining user needs. They will analyze data gathered through a variety of generative and evaluative research methods and present findings to stakeholders across the organization. They will help establish benchmarking efforts on a regular cadence, leverage analytics and other data sources to identify potential usability issues and areas for future enhancement, and validate whether or not digital transformation efforts are meeting the needs of our users. The Lead UX Researcher will apply these skills and work directly with product and design stakeholders across multiple teams and products to create excellent customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct or support UX research efforts including generative and evaluative methods across a wide variety of capabilities

  • Conduct or support research using analytics, previous UXR findings, survey results, customer service call logs, and internal usage reports to triangulate potential usability issues and uncover unmet customer needs

  • Translate research data gathered into actionable recommendations that help inform future iteration

  • Establish a regular cadence for benchmarking experiences

  • Deliver recommendations to business partners and leaders in a consumable and actionable way

  • Leverage UXR to inform strategic direction on future and current transformation efforts

  • Conduct moderated and unmoderated studies

  • Partner closely with cross-functional partners UX design, Product, Customer support, Sales, IT and others

  • Mentor and guide UXR colleagues to ensure implementation of best practices and aid in their continued growth

  • Some travel required, including to visit customers within the Lead UXR’s local area

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience conducting, analyzing and communicating user research findings and insights preferred

  • Master's Degree or higher in HCI, Cognitive science, Psychology, Anthropology or other relevant discipline strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to assess a situation and apply the correct method for uncovering user needs and product opportunities preferred

  • Excellent problem-solving skills preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and story-telling abilities preferred

  • Familiarity with UX heuristics and web design conventions preferred

  • Demonstrable ability to conduct research using moderated and unmoderated methods preferred

  • Experience working in an agile environment preferred

  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple work streams at one time preferred

  • Reliable, responsive, and with excellent time management skills preferred

  • Ability to travel (up to 25% of time) as needed to conduct research preferred

  • Ability to create presentations in a variety of formats preferred

  • Familiarity with digital white boarding programs such as Lucid preferred

  • Adaptable to changes in priorities and ways of working preferred

  • Skills with evangelizing and educating stakeholders about UX best practices preferred

  • Understanding of digital accessibility preferred

  • Excellent workshop facilitation skills preferred

Anticipated salary range: $121,600 - $156,330
