What Marketing Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Sales Administration/Operations is responsible for supporting the sales organization and driving operational excellence in order to achieve the strategic and sales objectives established by the sales organization. This includes sales tools/productivity improvement, customer contract administration, business metrics/analytics, and rewards architecture.
Marketing Operations supports product marketing and product management & development through the execution of marketing assistance programs, including tender and RFI/RFP response coordination, managing product support needs for the sales organization (e.g. samples, cross references, literature requests) and tradeshow coordination.
Job Summary
The Sr. Advisor, Event Marketing Operations is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of marketing sponsored and sales-led tradeshows across Biopharma Solutions and Specialty Physician Practices businesses within the Cardinal Health Pharmaceutical & Specialty Solutions segment. This role partners with a wide range of internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the collective Specialty tradeshow strategy is efficient, effective, and leads to positive business results.
Responsibilities
Partners with marketing leads to develop impactful tradeshow strategies for focused specialty audiences and ensures effective experiences for current and prospective customers.
Oversees specialty tradeshow and sponsorship spend, create reports and provides direction on spend efficiency and optimization.
Negotiates with external vendors and service providers to manage costs and services related to sponsorships and exhibits.
Approves the design, layout, cost estimates and construction of all exhibits and displays.
Creates pre-conference presentation decks and is considered the main point of contact for the marketing and sales teams who are involved with and attend tradeshows.
Informs and trains tradeshow attendees, ensuring all event personnel are well-prepared for the show they are attending.
Partners closely with Finance and Accounting teams to submit expenses, ensure alignment with budgets and manage pre-payments and accruals.
Works together with compliance to ensure that all criteria is met before Cardinal Health agrees to sponsor external events.
Partners to execute the commercial sponsorship/I-hub approval process, maintaining all pertinent documentation and managing the external conferences and tradeshows calendar.
Collaborates with meetings and tradeshow colleagues across Cardinal Health to optimize tradeshow processes and find efficiencies.
Partners with internal meetings and events team, as appropriate, to manage logistics, budgeting, and tradeshow strategies.
Provides consultation and support on a variety of additional meetings, events and activities across the Pharmaceutical & Specialty Solutions segment.
Demonstrates knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts in support of product marketing initiatives including but not limited to tradeshow coordination. Will need to exhibit strong organizational and influencing capabilities in matrix organizations.
Must have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and project management experience. Will leverage both tools and programs to drive projects to completion.
Adept at handling multiple complex projects and requests simultaneously under pressure to meet tight deadlines; detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, budgeting, organization and time management skills.
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Leverages knowledge of trade show best practices, and has experience coordinating, reviewing and/or editing input from a variety of stakeholders within and across business units, involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and operations.
Qualifications
8+ years’ experience in trade show production & marketing preferred
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
Experience leading key resources and coordinating activities on large conferences preferred
Project Management skills preferred
Strong written and communication skills preferred
Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects based on the required completion date preferred
Experience working directly with customers preferred
Experience working with marketing and sales teams preferred

Anticipated salary range: $86,400 - $143,145
