The Opportunity WSDOT is currently looking to fill a Recruitment Coordinator (HRC1) position. As a member of a fast-paced, professional Recruitment Team, this position will engage, support, and coordinate various talent acquisition activities and recruitment processes to fill vacancies across all WSDOT divisions, statewide. What to Expect Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the Recruitment Coordinator will: * Provide administrative support to the Headquarter Recruiter(s) and Regional Recruiters in full-cycle recruitment activities using an electronic applicant tracking system. * Consult and advise hiring managers on Recruitment and Selection processes, rules, laws, and best practices to ensure inclusivity, fairness, and legal defensibility. * Research, resolve, and respond to recruitment questions from both hiring managers and applicants. * Coordinate and participate in marketing and outreach activities; Represent WSDOT as an employer of choice at career fairs, community outreach, college campus outreach, and networking events. * Plan, write, and place advertisement on relevant online marketing venues and social networking sites. * Maintain relevant content on the WSDOT LinkedIn account. * Conduct research to inform recruitment marketing strategies and improve sourcing efforts for cross-generational talent and underrepresent communities. Qualifications To be considered for this opportunity, the following are required: * Two (2) years’ professional experience in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. * Intermediate-level proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, Outlook and Word. * Basic-level proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, Excel and PowerPoint. * Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal. It is preferred that qualified candidates also have: * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or closely related fields Professional experience in Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, Communications, Marketing, or closely related fields Experience conducting market research and analysis. * Experience using electronic applicant tracking systems and/or other business reporting systems. * Experience with developing digital marketing content; savvy with a variety of social media platforms * Intermediate-level proficiency using Microsoft Office application PowerPoint. Important Notes * * This is a non-permanent position expected to last a minimum 6 months. Current workloads indicate a possibility for extension, but there are no guarantees at this time. * Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, this position will be remote in a telework capacity full-time.
