CCSWW Program Supervisor II in Olympia, Washington

Program Supervisor will supervise Case Managers, Resident Coordinators and Peer Navigators and the program’s day to day activities. They will be the first-line call/contact in handling Case Management and Resident Coordinator staff and program participant concerns/issues.

This position will also carry a caseload of shelter clients and permanent supportive housing residents. This includes developing and implementing client-directed service plans, assessing the needs of homeless individuals, referring to appropriate resources to meet identified individual needs, coordinating job training resources and assisting with job placements. This will include participation in the development of community and will assist clients in developing a support system. This position helps to assure that best practices are implemented by staff and helps to assure contract compliance and adherence to CCS agency policies and procedures.


  • Provide onsite supervision of Peer Navigators/Case Manager (3) and Resident Coordinator staff (approx. 10) and oversee the program’s day to day operations.

  • Plan and conduct regular staff meetings for Drexel House staff.

  • Coordinate with Clinician Oversight Staff/Program Manager for staff clinical supervision.

  • Conduct performance reviews and implement disciplinary actions as needed.

  • Responsible for hiring and training Resident Coordinators, Peer Navigators and Case Management staff, including updating training manual as needed.

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members to manage triangulation and potential conflict.

24/7 Emergency Response:

  • Be available by phone to assess acuity and immediate risk/need and determine the most appropriate response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • Assure Incident Report or Accident Report is made. Including, mandatory reporting requirements being met when applicable.

  • Assure Case Manager is contacted for coordination of care when applicable.

  • Responsible for filling shelter beds.

  • Responsible for responding to problematic behaviors and complaints.

Assure client quality care:

  • Maintain Resident Coordinator schedule, assure front desk coverage 24 hours a day/7 days per week and fill in to cover Resident Coordinator shifts when no other coverage is available.

  • Fill in providing direct service as a Case Manager as needed during scheduling conflicts.

  • Assure staff is utilizing best practices and following agency policies.

Quality Improvement and Reporting:

  • Maintain clinical file quality and conduct file reviews.

  • Responsible for Drexel House data entry including HMIS entry and HMIS quality.

  • Responsible for keeping complete files for Thurston County Veteran’s Assistance Fund grant and submitting invoices.

  • Responsible for assuring other files, paperwork, and record keeping is complete to stay in compliance with all contracts.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA in Social Services

  • 1 year experience in a human services support position.

  • Experience in or the demonstrable ability to facilitate team meetings.

  • Availability to work flexible hours (evenings, nights, weekends).

  • Proof of negative TB test within past 12 months.

  • Obtainment of an Agency Affiliated Counselor License (HIV/AIDS training required).

  • Ability to obtain a CPR/First Aid Certification

  • Applicant must successfully pass required background checks prior to an offer of employment.

  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and automobile insurance.

  • Must have an acceptable driving record per CCS’ driving policy. (required to provide current driving abstract)
