Required Skills:

Product Designer Responsibilities:

  1. Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for Meta’s billion plus users.

  2. Seek out creative, design-led solutions to challenging problems.

  3. Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant.

  4. Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams.

  5. Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality.

  6. Partner with Product Managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch.

  7. Craft designs within existing visual systems and/or standards.

  8. Build prototypes and present designs and concepts to cross-functional partners and stakeholders, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts.

  9. Provide implementation guidance to engineers and ensure features launch at the highest quality bar.

  10. Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, User Experience Design, Product Design, or related field and 12 months of experience in the job offered or in a product design related occupation. OR employer will accept 3 years of work experience in job offered or in a product design-related occupation. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Experience must include 12 months of experience in the following:

  2. Communication experience

  3. Building and shipping applications or software at the level of whole features across a variety of platforms

  4. Strategic product thinker with experience understanding product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to people and the company

  5. Interaction Design skills defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs

  6. Using prototyping skills to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work

  7. Leading product direction and strategic thinking while developing product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to people and the company

  8. Designing for groups of people (international audiences, multi-language localization, accessibility for people with disabilities.)

  9. Portfolio or URL featuring examples of interaction design work

  10. End-to-end product design

Public Compensation:

$208,775/year to $223,850/year + bonus + equity + benefits
