As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a SME resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Solution Engineers. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

• Actively maintain an in-depth of product knowledge in their designated product areas, including:

  1. Competitive offerings

  2. All solutions enabled by the products

  3. Portfolio of case studies of implementations

  4. Links to development teams and information on future product development

• Cover all aspects of pre-sales activities required to generate license sales.

• Able to respond to RFP's, conduct discovery, prepare and deliver demonstrations to our strategic customer base and prospective clients.

• Able to collaborate with all surrounding sales support teams to facilitate our selling cycles.

• Ensuring the Presales team and specified groups have up-to-date and relevant product knowledge in the designated product areas

• Maintain awareness of all relevant competitive products (e.g. Ellucian, Campus Management, Jenzabar, Workday, Unit 4, SAP, and others)

• Understand the needs and pains of the customer and then link them to a set of products/solutions provided by Oracle

• Demonstrate leadership abilities and superior presentation skills in a multi-cultural environment.

• Contributing to the generation and maintenance of relevant product area-specific Value Propositions

• Create and maintain relationships with key product stakeholders like Product Marketing, Development, Strategy, Partners, etc.

• Contributes to the achievement of a product/business unit target

• Enthusiastic and confident

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Extensive knowledge of Financials regulations and policies

• Experience distributing labor encumbrances across multiple externally funded grants and sponsored projects

• Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

• Higher Education Industry experience

• High-level understanding of all aspects of Financials: Financials, Procure-to-Pay, Plan-to- Build, Quote-to-Cash, Reporting and Data Quality

• Thorough knowledge of system and application design & In-depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.

• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques.

• Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication.

• Bachelors from an accredited university with a degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics and an advanced degree highly desirable.

• Minimum of 4 years in either applications pre-sales or experience implementing the following solutions: Oracle Campus Solutions, Ellucian Banner or Colleague solutions, SAP, Campus Management, Jenzabar, Workday or Unit 4.

• Productive and self-motivated while working virtually.

• Able to work under pressure

• Strong leadership skills and experience leading teams of people toward a common goal

• Strong executive presence and presentation skills

• Travel: 70% (post pandemic)

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $38.85 to $85.67 per hour; from $80,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
