Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking an experienced environmental specialist to fill the Multi-agency Permit (MAP) Program Supervisor vacancy located in Olympia, WA. The MAP Program is located within the Compliance Solutions Branch in the Headquarters Environmental Services Office (ESO). In this role, you will support WSDOT's mission, goals, Strategic Plan{rel="nofollow"}, Executive Order E 1018 (Environmental Policy Statement), and meet WSDOT's business needs by leading, managing, and facilitating an effective statewide multi-agency environmental permit program that delivers streamlined project-level and programmatic permit services to support transportation project delivery and review consistent with RCW 47.85.020{rel="nofollow"}. The primary regulatory focus of the MAP Program is Section 404 and 401 of the Clean Water Act, Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act, Coastal Zone Management Act, Washington State Hydraulic Code, and Shoreline Management Act, with a lesser focus on the critical areas portions of the Washington State Growth Management Act, Forest Practices Act, Aquatic Lands Statutes, other laws, and regulations related to floodplain development and water rights.
