Job Description:

The Manager, Network Tools and Services will be the subject matter expert consistently improving services like DNS, DHCP, IPAM On-prem and in the Cloud.

In this role, the candidate will be accountable for enabling end-to-end planning, deploying, managing and monitoring of our IP address infrastructure. The role will be responsible for documenting these designs and ensuring communication and delivery of these services to Global Teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or participate in implementing automation with network infrastructure, particularly with DDI (Domain Name Services (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and IP Address Management (IPAM)) appliances and/or Unix servers

  • Implementing configuration changes to Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM

  • Manage production networks including Internet Protocol and DNS/DHCP Services

  • Ensure the continuous availability of all data network services

  • Identify gaps, risks, and issues and navigate organizational structure to resolve them

  • Investigate and remediate DDI (Domain Name Services (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and IP Address Management (IPAM)) capacity-related issues

  • Apply knowledge of security and regulatory policies to design and implement foolproof secured network solutions

  • Provide resolution information and work with other teams to complete impact analysis

  • Partner cross-functionally with other Product Infrastructure teams to continuously improve and apply standards and policies relevant to operational excellence

  • Assist with the development of consistent design, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of Network Tools and Services across Global Network Services

  • Establish and maintain regular communications with peers, Architects, Engineering, deployment as well as operations teams, supplier management, and vendors regarding requisite network infrastructure changes and improvement opportunities

  • Auditing of current configurations, adding new Infoblox grids, and expanding existing Infoblox grids

  • Provide strong technical leadership and guidance on Network Tools and Services strategies, including maturation of existing technologies, new tools and services development, and integrations.

  • Evaluation of new tools and services to ensure the organization is using the best technologies to meet strategic goals

  • Consult with peer organizations and management on standard methodologies for the process and procedures to deploy & support Network Tools at scale. This includes following SDLC procedures and TQ processes while also providing training, support, documentation, and all users.

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to drive supportable solution development. Provide knowledge transfer sessions with peer organizations and suppliers regarding changes in procedures, processes, documentation, and frameworks

  • Leads the development of a release management plan for platform hardware platforms by using tools that can be coordinated by automation/orchestration platforms

  • ITIL Framework (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).

  • Assess the technical ability of the team to determine fit for the role and for upskilling.

  • Provide direction for other professional-level team members that will be onboarded so they can get up to speed quickly.

  • This role will be mostly process driven, but the associate must also have strong technical skills.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $97,000 USD to $166,750 USD.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Computer Science OR Computer Engineering OR related technical degree experience

  • 5 years of Enterprise Network experience with a highly available global network infrastructure

  • 2 years of experience leading Network Engineering teams

  • Experience implementing and maintaining Network Management, Performance, and Monitoring tools.

  • Working knowledge of network management protocols and features like SNMP, Netflow, Syslog, and Network Packet Analysis.

  • Required knowledge of DDI (ISC Bind DNS, DHCP, and IPAM) and Infoblox solutions.

  • Working knowledge of MPLS, SD-WAN, B2B VPN, Remote Access VPN, LAN, WLAN, Campus networks, Firewalls, and Load-Balancers.

  • Working knowledge of switching and routing protocols, and features like BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VLAN, and VXLAN.

  • Solid understanding of Software-Defined Networking, Cloud Networking, and Network Automation.

  • Knowledge of DevOps Fundamentals, Automation Tooling, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Analytical, data-driven problem solver.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience communicating highly conceptual designs to executives, mid-level management, and peer engineers.

  • Travel is required up to 10%
