Department Description

The Oracle Payments team builds strategic partnerships globally that helps Oracle customers expand and operate globally. Our mission is to build a thriving ecosystem of payment partners that can provide solutions to our customers across the globe from different industries.

Position Description

You will be an integral member of a passionate, dynamic team that works with various business units in Oracle to establish and nurture strategic payment partnerships across the many industries Oracle serves.

This role works as part of a small, high-caliber team to deliver upon the global vision for the Oracle payments team. The primary focus of this role is to identify, build and cultivate relationships with strategic payment partners in each region which are key to driving our platform success in each market. This includes working with industry subject matter experts, Regional Strategy Managers and Solution Managers to assess market needs and solution fit.

This role will be responsible for the performance of a portfolio of payment partners and vendors. The key aspects of this role include:

  1. Payment Industry Intelligence: Keep abreast of trends, innovations, and regulatory changes impacting the payments industry and derive their impacts on our business/customers.

  2. Serve as the point of contact for our Payment partners and manage resolution of Partner issues.

  3. Manage Vendor performance: Perform contract negotiations and monitor contract performance. Establish KPIs to constantly identify opportunities to optimize partner performance.

  4. Drive strategic alignment between our payment partners and Oracle FGBGU teams (marketing, solutions, sales, and legal).

Job Requirements

This role requires payments domain expertise as well as strong presentation and communication skills. It requires a self-starter capable of setting a fast pace to drive strategic partnerships. The suitable candidate will have prior experience in strategic partner or vendor management including negotiating contracts, with a track record of turning around partner relationships to drive significant results.

Prior experience working in different payment processing models – marketplace, PayFac, acquisitions, a plus.

Prior experience with Strategy and Product Management functions is a plus. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiating skills with both internal and external resources required. The ability to travel regionally and internationally on occasion is required. BA/BS or MS degree (or equivalent) in a related field.

Responsibilities

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $87,600 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
