In today's fast-paced and ever-evolving communications landscape, the role of a Strategic Communications Planner and Channel Strategist is more crucial than ever. This pivotal position serves as the backbone of our strategic planning efforts, ensuring that every communication initiative is aligned with our overarching business goals. The Strategic Communications Planner and Channel Strategist not only devises comprehensive communication plans but also aligns goals, tactics, and resources to optimize effectiveness. This entails a deep dive into emerging platforms and best practices for leveraging the most effective channels, ensuring our messages resonate and achieve the desired impact. Moreover, this individual plays a vital role in project management and resource allocation, to help the Ford Communications teams deliver seamless and successful campaigns.

This role is integral to the success of the entire Ford Communications team and will significantly contribute to special enterprise-level projects. Through their expert guidance, we will be able to execute communication plans that are both innovative and aligned with our business objectives, driving us toward a future of sustained growth and success. This role is crucial to navigating the complexities of our ever-changing communications landscape and deliver impactful campaigns that connect with our target audiences.

What you'll do…

Strategy Development:

  • Align goals, tactics, and resources to devise comprehensive plans.

  • Ensure all communication strategies are in line with business goals and objectives.

  • Ingest insights to inform and refine strategy and identify most effective communications channels to deliver that strategy.

  • Leverage consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and business priorities to guide the development of integrated campaign strategies. Implementation & Integration:

  • Provide strategic rigor to the implementation of ideas.

  • Ensure seamless integration between creative, planning, media, and channels. Collaboration & KPI Development:

  • Work closely with insights, analytics, measurement, and Comms teams to develop KPIs. • Establish measurement plans for tracking success. Industry Awareness & Innovation:

  • Stay abreast of current trends and emerging platforms.

  • Serve as the go-to resource for channel best practices, new products, and tools.

You'll have…

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in communication planning, channel management, or media strategy.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and insights.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Proficiency in communication planning tools and platforms.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to present and articulate strategic plans and ideas effectively.

  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior and emerging trends in communications and media.

  • Creative approach to problem-solving and strong attention to detail.

  • Extensive experience with measurement and evaluation tools for assessing program effectiveness.
