Many businesses today serve a global marketplace that is increasingly characterized by a complex legal and regulatory environment. The demand for global availability of document review services has been driven beyond cost savings to quality control, speed and cross-border coordination. As a Staff on our Managed Document Review (MDR) team, you’ll be front-and-center in providing EY clients with the resources and technologies needed to meet evolving litigation and compliance needs on quality, privacy, security and cost efficiency, all at the same time. It’s a role with far-reaching implications, so you’ll be working with stakeholders across industries with some of the most innovative tools available.
The opportunity
With significant recent investment, we’re experiencing rapid growth in our Managed Document Review Services. Our Forensic & Integrity Services team is working with industry-leading technologies to develop innovative solutions to some of the most challenging document review issues around. Since we work with such a diverse portfolio of clients across industries, you can expect to take on a wide range of document review projects, making this a great place to develop your technical and business knowledge.
Your key responsibilities
With our clients increasing need to perform multilingual reviews across multiple locations, you’ll be the expert that consults them on the impact of review requirements by local privacy and data protection standards, sector-specific regulations and cross-border restrictions. And since no two clients ever face the same challenge, it’s no exaggeration to say you’ll never be doing the same task for too long. You’re likely to balance your time between directly liaising with our clients to understand their specific needs and create solutions using our extensive document review suite of services. It’s all about using your technical skills to creatively assess and resolve our clients’ needs from the front lines. That means thinking differently about the legal and regulatory environment, and speaking up with innovative ideas that challenge the status quo. You will also be responsible for setting up teams for review and providing oversight during any given engagement.

To qualify for the role you must have
A Juris Doctorate degree
1+ years of relevant project management experience in the document review field
Excellent project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to client’s needs
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent client-facing and internal verbal and written communication skills

The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations
Ideally, you’ll also have
Experience with the Relativity e-Discovery platform and other document review hosting platforms.
A working knowledge of the U.S. legal discovery process, and the e-discovery process including document processing, searching, hosting, review, and production
Experience providing additional review services, such as reviewing opposing party documents, construction of witness kits, substantive analysis and summary of document contents, contract management, and transactional due diligence

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $44,800 to $91,500. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $53,800 to $104,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
