Fiscal Analyst 3 (FA3), Grants Analyst Recruitment #2024-7-A195 Full-time, Permanent, Represented position Location: Natural Resources Building - Olympia, WA Work Hours and Partial Telework flexibility may be available and considered - In-office is expected during the probationary period, there will be at least 2 days in office a week for training and familiarization. Salary: $4,410.00 - $5,929.00 Monthly * The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is looking for a *Fiscal Analyst 3 within the Wildland Fire Division. This position will provide fiscal analysis and technical state accounting support concentrating on the Wildland Fire Division's Grant program. The position is an important part of the Wildland Fire Division's business operation and will be part of a collaborative team working towards developing the division's grant infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and developing expenditure and revenue forecasts for the Wildland Fire Division.
  • Creating and running ad-hoc reports, as well as, running monthly budget and expenditure reports and analyzing them.
  • Analyzing and researching complex Wildland Fire expenditures. Making journal voucher requests for incorrect or unusual payments.
  • Independently and with program guidance analyze expenditures for fiscal year-end close to prepare Division grant closeout.
  • Processing reimbursements and tracking federal spending.
  • Develop grant budgets and monitor expenses.

*Required Qualifications: *

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, budgeting, or general business administration to include 18 quarter or 12 semester credits in accounting; OR a combination of equivalent education and/or experience.
