The Department of Social and Health Services' Office of the Secretary is seeking an Information Technology Auditor to join our team in IT auditing and consulting. This is a unique opportunity for you to influence all levels of the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) as it relates to IT systems, applications, system security, and access controls. You will thrive on strong working relationships, project management, and teamwork.
Your initial accomplishments come through understanding the agency and our working relationships with the internal stakeholders and managers on IT controls with business processes.

Some of what you’ll do: You'll directly make an impact by being a change agent for efficient and effective IT policies, practices, and procedures.
Build relationships with DSHS Leadership and team members in identifying both the strengths and weaknesses of IT controls and Information Security programs.
Provide IT auditing, consulting, investigative, learning, and developmental services to internal staff and departments. Collectively, these services support the achievement of strategic objectives; promote conditions of reputational safety, and strengthens the level of performance and accountability.
Who are we looking for? A professional with a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Accounting, Information Technology, Finance, or Management Information System.
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
Experience in an Information Technology work environment or an audit position in the government and/or public sector.
- Knowledge and experience with some or all of the following is desired: Oracle, UNIX, RACF, Windows Server 2016 or later, and Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or later
- Experience with COBIT framework, COSO framework, General Computer Controls, NIST standards, and HIPAA standards for auditing information technology assignments
- Experience with ACL audit software desired
- Demonstrated skills consulting with internal and external stakeholders identifying and evaluating technology risks
