Job Description:

The Cybersecurity-Senior (Perimeter) is responsible for design, engineering and support of enterprise perimeter network systems including firewalls, network segmentation including ISE, email security, VPN / remote access and web security. This individual is also responsible for creating and maintaining enterprise standards and following established security industry standards. Fully functioning professional experienced in many aspects of information systems and cybersecurity technologies and systems. Functions independently and produce results that meet standards of quality, timeliness and acceptability with minimal supervision and general direction.

Remote/hybrid work - we may hire out of state workers where state laws allow.

Job Functions:

• Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors and troubleshoots perimeter network equipment.

• Network security focus with proven knowledge of security industry practices.

• Understands perimeter network design and architecture including firewalls, DMZs, VPNs, VLANs, VIPs, NAT, high availability and other complex networking.

• Some server and system administration for linux/unix, comfortable at command prompt.

• Assists in monitoring and testing of network performance and provides network performance statistics and reports as well as capacity planning.

• Receives and responds to incoming end user tickets, calls, pages and/or e-mails.

• Schedules and performs network improvements, upgrades and repairs as assigned.

• Assists in perimeter asset management

• Adheres to procedures for logging, reporting and monitoring network data.

• Participates in 24/7 on-call rotation.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in information systems/security technologies and systems.

Demonstrated understanding of the eight CISSP domains.

  • and -

Demonstrated understanding of Cybersecurity methods and techniques of information systems

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or technology related field or equivalent demonstrated experience. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.

  • and -

Possess or be willing to pursue CISSP or other security industry certification.

  • and –

Five to eight years of related experience in information systems / security technologies and systems.

  • and -

Thorough understanding of information security related regulations (HIPAA/PCI/DSS)

  • and -

Thorough understanding of IS security vulnerability assessment tools/techniques

  • and -

Strong analysis and attention to detail, problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills

  • and -

Ability to effectively prioritize/execute tasks in high-pressure environment

  • and -

Effective leadership and communication skills

  • and -

Presentation skills and ability to work well with others

  • and -

Results-oriented, self-motivated, self-directed professional

  • and -

Strong customer service orientation
