The Consumer Business Analyst is a key contributor in the assessment, validation, and results realization of an array of both departmental and cross-functional strategic initiatives. This role is integral in helping the team draw actionable insights and "stories" from raw data to drive executive decision making and inform customer acquisition and retention initiatives.

This associate will partner cross-functionally, using data visualization tools and modeling techniques, to identity, analyze, and draw actionable insights from data to inform and help drive profitable customer and revenue growth and deliver upon annual and long-term objectives. Additionally, you will work as a part of a team to assess business results, ongoing viability of initiatives/programs and provide data and insights-based counsel on strategies while helping to inform tactics necessary to achieve business results.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Use data modeling techniques (predictive analytics, cohort tracking, segmentation analysis, risk modeling, cross-sell analysis, etc) to provide analytical insights.

  • Measure/evaluate data, recommend actions, and analyze effectiveness of prioritized tactics, programs, and strategies relative to the desired business objectives.

  • Apply data automation and visualization tools (ex Power BI) to expand, evolve and optimize a robust data library of internal and third-party data to address on-going/ad-hoc analytical needs.

  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify reporting requirements, and build, maintain and evolve automated reporting to inform and support leadership decision making.

  • Work with technical teams to identify, validate and ensure data integrity of requirements and attributes required to effectively analyze customer data and provide recommendations for the Consumer Bank.

  • Understand key financial and business targets/metrics and analyzes results; assist in providing recommendations to ensure key targets/metrics are met or exceeded.

  • Form hypotheses and synthesize fact-based conclusions into recommendations including preparation of materials to deliver insights to leadership team.

  • Work cross-functionally to develop and share analytic facts and insights to inform business strategy/decisions/tactics.

  • Monitor and evaluate competitive environment and share insights with leadership.

  • Continuously seek improvement by assessing and reassessing processes to create greater levels of effectiveness and standardization.

  • 5+ years business experience, with an emphasis in analytics, or financial/statistical modeling.

  • Strong organizational skills and a comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and share analytical POV with confidence.

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint required.

  • Skills and experience with data querying.

  • Power BI and other data visualization/analytical tools experience required.
