Providence St. Joseph Health Central Supply Distribution Technician in Olympia, Washington

Description A Materials Supply Technician distributes supplies and equipment to all departments of the hospital, inventories and replenishes par and exchange carts, restocks distribution center and surgery supply shelves and performs other related duties in the receiving, surgery supply and distribution center work areas as required. Additional job duties include: Handling, delivery and storage of all materials and freight received through the Southwest Washington Region (SWR) and delivery of bulk orders to user departments and outside agencies in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures including shipping functions of all materials and freight of the hospital. Maintains accurate records, manages receipts for all items delivered to and shipped from the hospital, regulates equipment management and maintains overall cleanliness and organization of the receiving, supply work areas and individual unit storage areas. Required Qualifications: Experience in materials management, i.e. warehouse, stock control, and/or computer assisted inventory. Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Completion of central service/materials management education (CS certification). Upon hire: CS certification. Experience in a healthcare setting.
