Oracle Business Process Snr Manager in Olympia, Washington

Job Description

Leads process improvement initiatives through the disciplined use of measurements, accountability, analysis and discussion of process alternatives in order to arrive at best practices.

Plans, manages, and controls the activities of a team that provides operational support for a business segment, group or team. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, tool ownership and compliance with procedures, etc. Advises business groups by providing strategic direction to initiative prioritization, integration and resource application. Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. BA/BS degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

  • Global Process Owner for the Oracle Rewards Service, including activities such as:

  • Gathering and prioritizing business requirements for the Oracle Rewards Service and Oracle Support Rewards Program

  • Own process documentation required for the Cloud Transactions Management Operations team to support the Oracle Support Rewards Program

  • Assist the CTO team in resolving complex customer issues related to earning or redeeming Oracle Support Rewards and drive solution strategy to avoid issues from re-occurring with Product Development and other Finance global process owners (GPOs)

  • Monitor the Oracle Support Rewards roadmap and propose development of additional features to drive expansion of the program

  • Global Process Owner for Cloud Transaction Management team, including activities such as:

  • Drive root cause identification and review end to end transaction flows to determine points of failure that result in rework

  • Develop new ideas and change initiatives based on RCA reviews to establish preventative measures that eliminate recurrence of issues in the future – Includes improvements in process, policy, and/or system enhancements

  • Develop people and process scalability through enhancement of skills and process knowledge

  • Present and articulate complex concepts and ideas in a persuasive and concise manner to key stakeholders across lines of business / process areas to secure support & backing

  • Quick decision making in time sensitive situations with conflicting priorities

  • Develop and institutionalize key performance indicators to measure, track & report progress

  • Continually assess opportunities for improved team efficiency and better engagement with stakeholder

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders across the Cloud deal life cycle (Opportunity to Collections) to resolve issues delaying service deployment or services deployed that do not meet customer expectations

  • Partner with GPOs and Product Development teams to identify root causes of ordering issues, and develop and recommend remediation paths

  • On occasion, support E2E internal resolution of orders where customer intent was not captured correctly at contract quoting stage, as well as issues caused by misalignment of data across contracting and provisioning systems

Required Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of Oracle's Cloud business - offerings, policy, process, systems

  • Knowledge on the Oracle Cloud Framework and its capabilities

  • Knowledge on Oracle Cloud back office processes from opportunity through Collections

  • Exposure and understanding of invoicing and collection processes/issues will be a plus

  • Ability to build connections and partnerships with others across organizational, cultural, and global boundaries

  • Proven ability to coordinate and lead initiatives across multiple organizations

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines

  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, interpret, and analyze metrics and performance measures

  • Ability to effectively engage with senior levels of management

  • Approximately 5-7 years of experience in operations involving back office processes, systems, tools / applications and managing highly skilled staff
