THE ROLE : The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new business and cultivating growth within key accounts for PureHM’s portfolio of products and services. In this role, the incumbent will also participate in project management and field work, while building client partnerships and teaming with peers throughout the Region. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Rapidly and assertively maintain and build an opportunity funnel with existing key accounts, guiding each client through every step of the sales cycle.
Develop and maintain a robust opportunity funnel in the Salesforce application with particular attention paid to ensuring all opportunities are kept up to date and demonstrate continuous funnel growth of opportunities.
Manage client relationships throughout the initial project sales cycle, continue working with the client throughout the project operations stage with the intent to develop long-term relationships and work.
Work tightly with our operations and project management team to collaboratively develop work opportunities and contribute to the growth of the division and the team-based performance objectives.
Execute tactical and strategic project and program development plans for existing and new clients to achieve revenue and opportunity funnel development targets.
Maintain up to date and accurate customer sales records, expense plans, budgets, and related databases.
Respond to client RFP/RFI/RFQ requests in a timely and professional manner to facilitate success.
Maintain constant awareness of markets, policies, competitor activities and problems, recognize trends that develop, and make appropriate strategic and tactical sales/marketing recommendations.
Work closely with and maintain good working relationships with other PureHM divisions and Assessment Services divisions such as Project Management, Engineering, R&D, etc., to ensure company requirements are met or exceeded.
Provide business development and thought leadership through opportunity identification to grow new business, driving new capabilities and incremental business success.
Provide sales presentations and contribute to technical papers and present at industry events as required.
Provide business development and account support to external customers as well as internal colleagues and groups to achieve budget and growth objectives.
Where necessary, strategically function as project manager for key projects, including scheduling technicians and coordinating equipment. These may include client field, client office, and internal projects.
Regularly provide a report of projects and opportunities being pursued to direct manager as well as Technical BD managers for cathodic protection and survey divisions.
Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on the organization’s needs.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Technical school degree or diploma in Engineering or Environmental Services, or mixture of related education and experience
Proven, strong and effective business development experience in developing and growing CP, AC mitigation, and Close Interval Survey work.
5+ years’ experience in Cathodic Protection industry.
Minimum NACE CP2.
Capability to effectively self-direct time and effort in developing work and opportunities primarily for the CP and Survey divisions.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Problem-solving and decision-making skills plus the ability to think laterally whilst offering creative solutions.
Proficient in multi‐tasking and prioritizing projects
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Proactive with a high level of attention to detail.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Remote office environment, but will be required to travel to the field.
Approximately 25-50% travel on average, could be heavier at certain times of the year. The Western Region is geographically large and travel is dependent on client/project needs and building relationships in person.
Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move in a field environment, as well as in office.
SALARY :
The estimated salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
