As an Associate Legal Counsel for Corporate Trust you will work on structured finance transactions, escrows & other Corporate Trust transactions by reviewing relevant transaction documentation and providing suggested changes to the documentation necessary to protect Corporate Trust's interests.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Review and comment on structured finance documents, escrow agreements and other transaction documentation.

  • Advise administrators on post-closing extraordinary administrative duties of a legal nature.

  • Maintain expertise and advise Compliance Officer and Corporate Trust Relationship Managers regarding risk & compliance matters.

  • Advise Corporate Trust department on various legal issues.

  • Maintain current on legal and compliance issues that may impact Corporate Trust department.

  • Strategize with management on new opportunities, products and overall vision of CT

  • Create and maintain referral relationships with transaction counsel

  • In conjunction with Sales and Management, visit clients and attend industry conferences

  • Work closely with Relationship Managers and Management on ensuring smooth transaction closings

  • Stay active in life of the trust transactions, assisting with changes made to the transactions

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must have Juris Doctorate or equivalent

  • Demonstrates ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents

  • Has ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints

  • Demonstrates good work habits, attendance follows policies and procedures
