What You Will Do :
The Associate Director (AD) in performance improvement will be dedicated to the profitable growth of the firm’s Healthcare Performance Improvement Practice's Provider optimization group. The ideal candidate will bring extensive healthcare industry experience with a proven track record of delivering innovative clinical, supply chain and strategic performance solutions to hospitals and health systems. This individual will lead the design, development and implementation of integrated (clinical effectiveness and system operations) optimization efforts within resulting in the supply chain, clinical variation and capacity management solution. The consultant will manage the work stream efforts to timeline / scope / budget across the larger platform. The AD will work with Guidehouse specialty areas and partner with the client to deliver robust solutions/outcomes for the client and ultimate revenue for Guidehouse for areas in including: performance improvement, clinical supply variation, clinical operations.
The AD will participate in business development and relationship management activities for Guidehouse Healthcare clients requiring optimization. This individual will play a key role in helping guide the firm’s continued development of leading-edge consulting, in the performance improvement service line.
This position includes responsibilities in both leveraging and delivering quality, high-level, consulting services to clients for the Guidehouse Healthcare Provider Practice. The following sections describe the specific areas of prime importance in the execution of these responsibilities:
Deliver industry expertise and management consulting services in support of client engagements in the Healthcare Practice
Develop practice wide methodologies to be applied across individual account strategies / client plans
Establish account management relationships with key client decision makers
Identify key industry issues and develop a practice response
Assist in the development of industry alliances and relationships within vertical markets
Provide delivery assurance support for engagements with targeted clients
Mentor Guidehouse staff on assignments within the account delivering services
Provide visible leadership within the account and the practice.
Leads consulting projects Statement of Work, Project Plans, Writes Proposals, Presents to Client Executive; Facilitates, Advises and Persuades key decision makers and influencers
What You Will Need :
We are currently looking for a thought leader and implementer. Must have significant experience conceptualizing and participating in the delivery of $15M+ million/annual cost take out programs. Insuring clients achieve outcomes on complex projects across all phases of the provider clinical and operational improvement project life cycle. This professional should have technology, business and healthcare industry experience as well as management consulting background!
10 years (minimum) of experience in clinical operations, performance improvement, labor optimization, clinical operations and beyond focused in a provider setting, RN strongly preferred
5+ years delivering programs in a consulting environment; driving complex, multi-faceted, multi-site, application/operational change/improvement programs with annual budgets of $10 million plus (30 + resources).
Flexible, positive, clear interpersonal and communication skills with ability to facilitate the exchange of information within all levels of Guidehouse as well as a provider based, client organization, including, but not limited to, hospital executives, physicians and other professional and ancillary staff.
Ability to develop and monitor performance metrics at all levels of operations both clinical and non-clinical.
Ability to articulate financial results across multiple projects with ease; highly quantitative orientation
Rigorous project/program management leadership of complex provider deliverables with 5yrs. in larger provider systems.
Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills and ability to independently produce documents or aptitude to develop this level of skill within a defined period of time ; MS Project Experience preferred
Undergraduate degree from accredited university required, master's degree preferred in business, systems engineering, healthcare administration or equivalent professional experience
Ability to travel 9-12 nights per month

The annual salary range for this position is $136,100.00-$272,100.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
