Providence is calling a 340B Program Manager - Pharmaceutical Care Clinic (0.5 FTE, Days) to Providence St Peter Hospital in Olympia,WA.

Oversees all aspects of the 340B program for Providence Southwest

Washington Region. Leads and develops

strategies to maximize efficiency and ensure compliance with the 340B drug

discount program in its entirety; including comprehensive oversight for hospital

based programs and contract pharmacy, ensuring program integrity and

maintaining regulatory compliance across the Southwest Region. Oversees

integrity of the oncology billing practices. The coordinator maintains working

relationships with the Financial Officers, Pharmacy Leadership, Caregivers,

Revenue Cycle,

IT pharmacist, Compliance, Legal Affairs, Outsourcing 340B support

vendors and consultants.

In this position you will:

  • Stays Current with Regulatory andLegislative changes to the 340B program and OPPS billing, implements processesto assure compliance with these changes

  • Works with IT Pharmacist and PharmacyBuyers to ensure data integrity for the 340B Program, compliance and costsaving opportunities.

  • Increase revenue opportunity by workingwith revenue cycle to proactively identify write offs and claim denials.Implement process changes within the oncologyclinics to assure compliance with medication utilization and documentation.

  • Updates policies and procedures annuallyand as changes occur.

  • Oversees 340B purchasing activities.

  • Oversees regular 340B audit complianceinternal and external to assure “audit readiness”

  • 340B Contract Pharmacy Contracts arecurrent and updated annually, assures internal audits of all contractpharmacies.

  • Assures corrective actions are taken inresponse to internal and external audits self-reporting to HRSA if required.

  • Conducts annual HRSA 340B programrecertification in the allowable time frame.

  • Annual review HRSA database for accuracyof all official contacts, addresses, Medicaid carve in or out, registeredsites, child sites and contract pharmacies.

  • Reviews Medicare Cost Report (MCR)annually to identify departments on the reimbursable lines of the report toassure HRSA database is correct, registering potential new child sites forregistration after the new MCR is filed with CMS.

  • Assures maintenance of the 340B splitbilling software integrity and reviews applicable reports to identify areas forimprovement.

  • Reviews Quarterly changes of HCPC codes,CMS documentation requirements for all oncology medications and identifiesareas to reduce denials other opportunities as identified.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • NationallyCertified Pharmacy Technician and/or Pharmacist B.S or PharmD

  • Attended340B University within 3 months of hire

  • 340BApexus Certification within 12 months of hire

  • General Understanding of CMS OPPS

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with the 340Bprogram
