Confidential Cashier and Customer Service Associate in Okanogan, Washington
Job Summary: We are seeking a friendly and reliable Cashier & Customer Service Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for handling checkout transactions, assisting customers, and performing additional duties to support the smooth operation of the store. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and adaptable to various tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the cash register to process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, addressing inquiries, and assisting with product recommendations.
Ensure the checkout area is organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Handle cash, credit, and other payment transactions, balancing the register at the end of each shift.
Restock shelves, maintain inventory levels, and assist with merchandising as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a well-organized and functional sales floor.
Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries, checking for accuracy and quality.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and food handling standards.
Support promotional activities, such as setting up displays or assisting with in-store events.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in cashiering, retail, or customer service is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic math skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and adapt to various responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of wholesale or food industry products is a plus.
Work Environment:
Prolonged periods of standing and engaging with customers.
Physical tasks such as lifting, stocking, and organizing items (up to 35 pounds).
