ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Job Description

 

The administrative assistant position is a central and important role in the conduct of Friendship's business.   The business is generated by the Prosecutor or Courts and applicants must be comfortable working with defendants referred from the criminal justice system.   The administrative assistant should be dependable in terms of maintaining office hours and confidentiality.     

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

*Experienced in applications of Windows operating system, with accurate keyboard skills.

*Experienced in office procedures including filing, telephone management and scheduling.

*Work history of at least two years preferably in a business related to the criminal justice system     or law.

*High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

*Valid Washington State Driver's License and minimum mandatory automobile insurance

*Not party to pending or past criminal court actions

  • Must pass a criminal history review conducted by WA State Patrol Bilingual is a plus * **

Specific Duties:

* *

*Telephone services including answering and routing calls to staff, recording messages, voicemail retrieval and documentation. Accurate relay of information to appropriate staff

*Receiving in person and telephonic reports and providing approved information to clients

*Documentation of reports

*Receiving and receipting payments

*Correspondence including preparation of letters, court reports and other documents        

*Establish/maintain filing system 

*Provides support to case managers when needed

*Data entry

*Inventory control and ordering supplies

*Access JIS to monitor clients

*Postal, banking, document delivery duties outside of office

*Confirmation, documentation and recording of community service work programs

*Other duties as may be assigned                  

POTENTIAL FOR GROWTH!
