Optional dental & vision -- cost is out of pocket. • 11 Paid holidays • Paid sick leave -- accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked • Up to 2 weeks paid vacation per year after one year of employment • 401k matching after one year of employment, up to 4% • Paid Life insurance: $50,000 after 90 days of employment • Longevity stipend with Board of Directors approval Schedule: Tuesday -- Saturday 8pm - 2am, totaling 35-40 hours per week. Potential for on-call time and varying hours depending on need. Requirements: • Ability to pass NAS Whidbey Background check at time of hire and for duration of employment. Felonies prohibit base access. • A reliable custodial crew member who cleans the meat room at the Whidbey Island commissary. • Prior janitorial experience preferred but not required. • Cleaning and caring for tools and equipment. Responsibilities include: • Thoroughly cleans, details, and sanitizes meat-room facility. • Required to wear a wet suit. • Breaks down, cleans and sanitizes equipment. • Re-assembles equipment. • Moves equipment in and out of the meat-room. • Removes trash. • Performs floor care including sweeping and mopping and using a scrubbing machine according to the schedule currently once per month). • Must be cautious and follow procedures when handling/protecting sensitive (electronic) equipment Physical Requirements and Essential Functions: • Ability to endure up to 7 hours a day of standing, and walking. • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to reach, kneel, walk, stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time. • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and routines. Must be able to work well with others. • Good time management skills. Must carry out instructions and pay attention to detail. • Maintains professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
