Potential for varying hours, with Sunday off an additional day off during the week. Requirements: • Ability to pass NAS Whidbey Background check at time of hire and for duration of employment. Felonies prohibit base access. • A reliable custodial crew member who cleans the commissary, including floor care such as sweeping, mopping, burnishing, stripping, waxing • Prior janitorial experience preferred but not required. • Cleaning and caring for tools and equipment Responsibilities include: • Cleaning commissary facility: removing trash, sweeping, moping, dusting, vacuuming, wipe downs, sanitation • Floor care in commissary including sweeping, mopping, burnishing, stripping, waxing • Cleaning and caring for tools and equipment Physical Requirements and Essential Functions: • Ability to endure up to 7 hours a day of standing, and walking. • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to reach, kneel, walk, stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time. • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and routines. Must be able to work well with others. • Good time management skills. Must carry out instructions and pay attention to detail. • Maintains professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
