You will perform a variety of tasks which involve the managing the daily maintenance operations, upkeep, and repair of the facility. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves the best customer – our Military patrons and their families. So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed? o Develop, coordinate, and execute short and long range facility planning for conducting preventative maintenance with inventory of maintenance stock and equipment. o Performs general carpentry, painting & plumbing tasks involved in the alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings or equipment. o Follows all local safety regulations maintaining compliance and OJT of maintenance staff. o Operates motor vehicle in the performance of the duties. The Qualifiers: o Must possess three year of working knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties. o Is required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring or uncomfortable positions. o Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds. o Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors. o Must possess a valid state driver’s license and pass a pre-employment criminal & motor vehicle background check. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of general maintenance work involving a variety of trade practices associated with such occupations as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical work, plumbing carpentry, masonry, painting, etc. Including knowledge of safety and environmental rules and regulations concerning procedures, tools, mechanical and electrified equipment, chemicals and basic safe work practices; supervision of human resources. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries material weighing up to 50 pounds. A recognized professional certification or license in one trade (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, or painting) trade is preferred. Job: Maintenance/Other
