Valiant Government Services, LLC IT/Network Simulator Technician in Oak Harbor, Washington

Top Secret Regular The IT/Network Simulator Tech reports directly to the Site Lead. This position is for maintenance of simulator training devices used for the U.S. Navy EA-18G program. Specific job responsibilities included but are not limited to the following: Perform organizational and intermediate level maintenance on all site training devices in accordance with all applicable safety and maintenance documents. Perform trainer system startup /shutdown as required Facilitate and assist connected events. Ensure mission setup of all training devices prior to the start of scheduled missions. Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual periodic maintenance tasks. Be able to effectively interface/communicate with U.S. Navy Aircrew personnel and other contractors. Maintain records to document and support maintenance efforts. Keep the Site Lead informed of training devices status and any on-going logistics efforts. Work collaboratively with SMEs, Aircrew Specialists, and Customer. Requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English. Physical ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb two (2) flights of stairs is required. Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds. Must always present a professional appearance in demeanor and dress. An IT/Network Simulator Technician shall demonstrate competence through satisfactory progressive performance as an Electronic Technician. Have Network / Information Technology and/or Electronic Technician background. 2+ years electronic technician background desired. Training or experience equivalency will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Government. Previous Information Assurance / System Administration knowledge or experience is preferred. An Information Assurance (IA) certification of CompTIA Security + is required. The applicant must be a US citizen, possess the ability to obtain a US Passport and must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to receive and retain a minimum of a TOP SECRET clearance for access to classified information. Experience operating computer equipment and proficient in MS Word and Excel. Able to identify computer and computer network systems failures. Provide assistance in the use of equipment, including audio/visual, podiums and projectors. Position is contingent upon additional security vetting and Government approval.
