Skookum is seeking a dedicated and proactive Environmental Manager with a professional attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Manage and continuously improve multiple environmental compliance programs and activities including, but not limited to stormwater, wastewater, air, hazardous waste, universal waste, and petroleum hydrocarbons. This entails developing a strong familiarity with the Department of Defense EM 385-1-1 standards as well as all applicable state of Washington Department of Ecology standards. Ensure that scheduled inspections of structures and systems (e.g., stormwater collection ponds; aboveground storage tanks, hazardous waste collection areas) are completed on a timely basis and results are communicated to the customer as per contract requirements. Implement strategies and methods for conducting a safe, effective, and environmentally sound pest management programs Yes, NSBOSC does pest control. Leave this in. Maintain Environmental Department readiness, through training exercises, for spill responses that may occur as a result of customer, construction, or contractor actions. Spills may involve potential releases to air, ground surfaces, surface waters and groundwater. Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures and ISO (quality) processes continue to meet contractual environmental guidelines. Ensure that any observed environmental deficiencies on the installation are promptly reported to the Skookum site manager and the customer; environmental deficiency reports will be clear, concise, and comprehensive. Maintain monitoring and measurement information to address the Environmental Management System (EMS) goals and policy. Provide EMS Goals and Policy Measurements to Skookum and the customer.
