The E/A-18G Flight Simulator Operator II (Equivalent to Computer Operator II) reports directly to the Lead Operator. The Computer Operator II\'s specific job responsibilities included but are not limited to the following: Trainer operators shall set up all trainer requirements associated with training missions; respond within a designated time to instructor, trainee or inspector requirements for trainer operation and control in support of training missions; and be able to utilize full training capability of the device. Operators shall operate each console for insertion of flight variables, mission parameters and trainer malfunctions while exploiting the maximum capability of each tactical system. Trainer operators shall be responsible for communicating with Blue forces as they move into, onto and around Red Forces during simulated training scenarios involving applicable electronic strike mission training. Must be capable of researching and inserting various mission problems and trainee/trainer malfunctions while determining whether trainer response is correct. For unscheduled missions, trainer operators shall respond within five (5) minutes of notification by the instructor or Contracting Officers Representative (COR). Perform janitorial services on assigned spaces as required. Work any shift and weekends as specified by the Contract for this site. Perform other tasks as assigned. Pay Rate: The rate for this position is \$32.49/hr. The operator shall demonstrate competence through satisfactory, progressive performance as a simulator operator. The operator shall demonstrate in depth working knowledge of training devices to include: proper set-up, operation and troubleshooting of each type of Instruction/Operator console, cockpit displays and controls, and flight characteristics. Must have an in-depth working knowledge and applications of the following simulated aircraft systems for each type device (list is minimum system requirements and may be modified by the Government at any time); Avionics Systems, Threat Systems, Tactical Sensors, Electronic Control Warfare, Sensors, Master Modes, Stores Management System (SMS), Communications / Navigations (COM/NAV), Navigational Flight Aides, AMU (Loading missions / Manipulating IC Sets), Device Integration (To include Virtual Exercises) and Fleet Readiness Squadron (FRS) / Syllabus Missions. Operator II shall demonstrate competence through satisfactory, progressive performance as a simulator operator. The applicant must be a US citizen, possess the ability to obtain a US Passport, and will be subject to a government security investigation. Perform janitorial services on assigned spaces as required. Requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English. Physical ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb stairs is required. Must present a professional appearance in demeanor and dress at all times.
