Skookum is seeking a dedicated and proactive Carpenter Lead with a professional attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Carpenter Lead shall ensure that all Carpentry work is planned and accomplished to offer maximum resistance to fungus, mildew, termites, water absorption and all other deleterious effects of the environment. Assist with employee and mission support in the maintenance, repair, and alteration of buildings and structures which shall include all structural features such as foundations, walls, doors, door stops, door closures, windows, roof framing, roofing, floors and floor coverings, porches, wood fencing and trim, stairs, fixtures, hardware, exterior and interior painting, and glazing. Inspect all interior and exterior finishes, trim, and decor shall be maintained to match or exceed existing appearance and quality. All carpentry work performed shall be consistent with the construction and appearance of the existing facility or structure, unless otherwise directed. Ensure that all furniture is secure for earthquake preparedness. Operate, maintain, adjust, calibrate and services equipment used in the performance of duties. Maintains appropriate service and repair records. Ensure all areas are-clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly and remain in a functional environment. Ensure quality service to meet the contract requirements. Ensure that QC inspections are corrected on time and followed up on. Conduct supply and equipment inventory of storage areas. Counsel and training of employees. Clean and maintain tools and equipment. Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years in the Carpentry/Construction industry Journeyman Level Certification preferred.
