Your challenges: Develop medium and high-level software in a mixed computing environment with an emphasis on three arenas: 1) embedded Linux supervisory software, 2) security and access control, and 3) data management. Improve existing software based on requirements and requests from customers and colleagues. Assist in the design process of new systems and architectures and inform the development of better programming practices and procedures. Provide technical support in subject matters concerning performance, installation, maintenance, system testing, and documentation of software and hardware. Performs hands-on work as needed. Develops, plans, and executes projects and leads one or more engineers technically. Guides and trains other members of the project team. Assists in the career development of one or more junior engineers. Your boarding pass: Seven or more years of experience with a Bachelor's degree. Five or more years of experience with a Master's Degree. Three or more years of experience with a PhD. Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: The ability to work independently to achieve required goals with minimal oversight and provide accurate estimates of work effort to accomplish a well-defined task. Embedded developers: proficiency in programming in C/C++. Experience programming with JavaScript and .NET C# is also desired. Serenity developers: comfort programming in JavaScript. Experience programming with Typescript, Json, React and Node is also desired. Working knowledge of the following platforms: Windows 7/10 desktop and Linux embedded products.
