We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Manager to join our team. This role involves identifying new project opportunities with private clients, general contractors, and public owners. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing client relationships, preparing professional proposals, and collaborating with our marketing team to provide content for marketing materials. The ideal candidate will have significant sales experience in the commercial HVAC or mechanical sector.
Responsibilities
Prospect for new project opportunities or long-term client opportunities with private clients and general contractors.
Maintain a list of target clients and contact each regularly.
Use multiple sources to find new potential clients.
Cold call, warm call, and set up appointments with potential clients.
Present the company's value proposition via in-person meetings, phone, and email.
Bring in invitations to bid on private projects.
Search multiple sources for advertised projects with public owners.
Maintain registration on public owner’s sites.
Participate in go/no-go decisions for opportunities.
Prepare detailed, professional proposals.
Procure, develop, and maintain client contacts and relationships at engineering firms.
Develop conceptual estimates for projects.
Maintain working knowledge of general conditions, work scope, and specifications of project contracts/subcontracts.
Maintain and control documents in compliance with company standards and contracts.
Be in full compliance with the company’s Safety Program when on jobsites.
Uphold the company’s Core Values.
Collaborate with the marketing group and provide content for marketing collateral material and proposals.
Manage early works equipment vendors/suppliers.
Manage early works subcontractors.
Aid in early work contract kickoff/rates/terms & conditions.
Ensure regular attendance and promptness.

Work Environment
The role involves a hybrid work model, with 2-3 days per week in the office and 3 days in the field, with a gas stipend for travel within the Puget Sound area. The team consists of 3 existing salespeople, with a typical team size of 5-6. The average project size ranges from $50,000 to $500,000. The new hire will be expected to generate their leads and work independently, with some support from the top salesperson. The company’s focus for 2023 is to maintain existing sales and grow organically within their current sectors.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $145000.00

Paid Time Off:
Eligible employees begin accruing PTO as of their date of hire and accrual rates are based on years of service. Base annual accrual starts at 120 hours/15 days for full time status. PTO is a combination of sick and vacation accruals. The company follows the required WA State Sick Leave guidelines and employees are provided (1) for every 40 hours worked as part of the PTO package. the company also offers (7) paid holidays, plus (1) Floating Holiday to be used within the calendar year.
