PACCAR Inc. Senior Embedded Systems Test Engineer in Mount Vernon, Washington

The Senior Embedded Systems Test Engineer specifies and develops plans and strategies for verifying PACCAR vehicle control systems. This individual is also responsible for identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, developing tools to solve testing problems, mentoring junior engineers, and creating and executing test cases. The engineer will coordinate and track coverage of testable requirements, recommend test scope based on risk, verify and document defects. This position communicates with multiple levels of management, customers, and project stakeholders. Job Functions / Responsibilities Develop and implement Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test plans and strategies for complex systems Configure HIL test setups, including selecting appropriate hardware and software components Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications Create and execute HIL test scripts and procedures Troubleshoot and debug issues in HIL test setups and test cases Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders Identify and propose improvements to HIL test processes and methodologies Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in HIL testing techniques Mentor and provide guidance to junior HIL test engineers Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements in HIL testing activities Foster excellent communication, establish and maintain good working relations with other teams Local travel in the Puget Sound area up to 10%, domestic and international travel up to 5% Qualifications & Skills BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or applicable field Entry Level to 3+ Years of applicable experience in test development and execution Familiar with quality assurance methodologies Ability to work well in a team environment Ability to summarize technical issues and communicate effectively Ability to manage personal workload and willingness, flexibility and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands Strong presentation skills Company Information PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905.
