PACCAR Inc. Project Coordinator in Mount Vernon, Washington

PACCAR Production Compliance is seeking to fill an Project Coordinatorposition to support California Air Resources Board (CARB) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandated testing. You will play a crucial role on our team working with the test engineers and overseeing and managing our fleet of test trucks, engines, engine aftertreatment systems (EAS), and associated parts. This position is located at the PACCAR Technical Center, Mount Vernon, WA. Key Responsibilities: Fleet Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of our test fleet, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal. Coordinate with customers, dealerships, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely availability at testing locations. Maintain accurate records and documentation for inspections and exemptions. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the budget, including forecasting and tracking expenses related to vehicle acquisition, parts, labor, fuel, and incentives. Draft purchase orders. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce operating costs, and improve overall inventory performance. Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports and provide analysis of candidate test articles. Support test setup and execution. Perform data analysis and reporting including vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and compliance metrics. Travel up to 10% required to physically inspect test articles. Skills and Qualifications: Associate's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Proven experience in fleet management, preferably in the trucking industry Excellent communication and negotiation skills, sales and negotiation experience a plus. Heavy trucking/diesel engine experience a plus Strong organizational and analytical skills Team Player that is self-motivated and able to work under limited supervision while maintaining a professional manner in appearance and communication at all times.
