Job Title: Powertrain Controls Validation Engineer - ADAS
Job Description: Develop and improve designs for vehicle Advanced Driver Assistance systems. Serve as a subject matter expert for developmental validation programs, providing insight to software development team and tracking all related validation testing. Build test plans and conduct System Acceptance and Property Validation testing. Coordinate and conduct validation testing. Conduct hands-on in-truck vehicle validation testing. Participate in set up of tests, verifying that test equipment and instrumentation equipment meet specified requirements.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field or the foreign degree equivalent and 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate medium-duty and heavy-duty truck engineering experience including at least 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Truck Electrical and MX Engine troubleshooting using DAVIE4, ESA, App Flow, VEPS, Cummins Insite, Bendix ACOM, EATON Service Ranger, Allison DOC, and Wabco Toolbox
- Interacting with CAN-based networks, J1939 protocol, and PGN/SPN databases
- Developing electrical/electronic architectures for vehicle features where the interactions between different Electronic Control Modules must be detailed.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for developmental validation programs, providing insight to software development team, and tracking related validation testing
- Building test plans and conducting System Acceptance and Property Validation testing using HPQC and defect logging
- Coordinating and conducting validation testing
- Planning, coordinating, leading, executing and managing projects with minimal supervision to ensure the projects stay within scope and are delivered on time and within budget
- Analyzing project requests, discussing project requirements with requestors and formulating preliminary project plans, budgets, and schedules
- Writing reports incorporating results, conclusions and recommendations
Experience may be gained concurrently.
SALARY: $135,366-$173,000/year per year. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift. LOCATION: Position full-time, 40 hours per week, with PACCAR Inc located in Mt. Vernon, WA. Position requires up to 10% domestic travel.
