Requisition Summary We are looking for a driven Powertrain Calibration Integration Engineer for our Powertrain Integration and Performance group. Specific focus will be vehicle powertrain performance of the North American PACCAR chassis. The selected individual will work in a global cross-divisional team to develop the best performing Powertrains for North America. Get started! Job Functions / Responsibilities Use sound engineering principles and experience to develop test procedures to conduct targeted powertrain development and performance testing. Support technical analysis of benchmarking testing on PACCAR and competitive powertrain systems, providing feedback with focus on performance, drivability, and fuel economy. Support powertrain test cell activities for powertrain development, integration, and optimization. Assist development of alternative fuel internal combustion engines (Gasoline, Natural Gas, Propane, Hydrogen), hybrid powertrains, and alternative powertrains (Battery Electric, Fuel Cell). Provide technical analysis and input for new powertrain systems and advanced predictive feature, and emerging powertrain systems. Actively participate in on-vehicle development, verification, software release, and product implementation for North American vehicles and aftermarket support. Lead initiatives to improve calibration and testing methods for higher efficiency and effectiveness. Stay technically current with the heavy duty, medium duty, and hybrid/electric commercial vehicle industry. Maintain positive working relationships with other groups and PACCAR divisions. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience preferred. Prior experience developing and testing powertrain products for vehicles preferred. Experience with alternative powertrain technologies preferred. Sound knowledge of simulation and modeling tools for powertrain simulation for powertrain control systems preferred. Familiarity with test cell and in-vehicle performance calibration, calibration tools, and instrumentation preferred. Organized and disciplined with ability to manage personal workload preferred. Willingness and initiative to respond to shifting timelines and project priorities preferred. Ability to perform complex analysis and apply engineering judgment preferred. Aptitude to summarize and communicate issues quickly and effectively in both technical discussions and high-level program reports preferred. Ability to travel up to 20% required. Education BS in appropriate technical field required.
