PACCAR Inc. Offsite Test Coordinator in Mount Vernon, Washington

The Vehicle Integration Validation team is looking for a highly motivated Offsite Test Coordinator to support summer and winter test trips to validate PACCAR products in extreme ambient conditions. The Vehicle Integration Validation team is responsible for validation testing of engine, transmission, vehicle, and exhaust aftertreatment hardware and software used on PACCAR vehicles. Job Functions / Responsibilities Coordinate test set-up, instrumentation, data acquisition, electrical support Coordinate test execution in vehicle Plan offsite tests targeted to specific requirements Plan and coordinate travel arrangements for a team of drivers and engineers Ensure established procedures and processes are followed within the organization to achieve department and project objectives Contribute to improve test efficiency and test/data quality Document and evaluate test results and provide clear explanation of findings Report test results and support failure analysis Offsite testing requires up to 20% travel Qualifications Minimum five years of relevant work experience required Knowledge of internal combustion engines and related sub-systems Familiar with measurement techniques for temperature, pressure, flow, and data analysis Experience with vehicle software and service tools including DAVIE 4, Bendix ACOM, Eaton Service Ranger 4, Cummins Insite, Wabco Toolbox, and Allison DOC Familiar with engineering tools such as Vector CANalyzer and ATI Vision Ability to manage personal workload and willingness, flexibility, and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands. Test set and Requirements management experience desired Ability to summarize technical issues and communicate effectively Self-directed, excellent analysis and technical judgment required Class A CDL preferred Education High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of experience testing heavy duty vehicles will be considered Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline preferred Company Information PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905.
