Division Information The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington. Requisition Summary If you are a highly motivated, collaborative, detail-oriented individual, we have an excellent opportunity for you to join PACCAR Technical Center's HR Team! The HR Specialist is responsible for providing HR support and customer service to PACCAR Technical Center employees. Job Functions / Responsibilities Work in a collaborative manner with HR team to provide uniform interpretation and application of policies, practices and procedures. Supports HR Generalist in welcomingnew employees to PACCAR by administering the new employee onboarding experience including new hire communication, coordination of new hire paperwork, and E-Verify work authorization tracking. Ensures system access is managedthrough IT Service Request process. Work with HR Team to plan and support employee events Employee relations activities including developing collaborative relationships with employees and managers Maintains and ensures compliance of employee hard copy and electronic records Support HR Generalist inmanagingthe summer intern programincluding onboarding, exiting, coordinating leader presentations and leader lunches, and the PNW Intern Ride and Drive. Support implementation of PTC mentor program Enters SAP maintenance, new hires, terms, salary changes, etc. Maintain employee files including filing paperwork. Run weekly and monthly employee reports Ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Participates in global HR continuous improvement initiatives and HR Projects as assigned. Creates and maintains communications including employee announcements, engagement activities, building announcements and general HR information. Other Duties as assigned. Qualifications 2 years of relevant human resources experience preferred. Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. HRIS experience preferred; SAP and SuccessFactors a plus. Working knowledge of Employment Law, FMLA, ADA, FLSA and Worker's Compensation. Ability to effectively accomplish multiple priorities in established time periods. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach. Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation. Ability to work with confidential information and adapt to continually changing priorities. Ability to work with employees and managers at all different levels of the organization. Education Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or Human Resources required. Master's Degree preferred. PHR or SPHR or other HR certifications preferred.
