SKAGIT VALLEY COLLEGE Director of International Education in MOUNT VERNON, Washington

Working closely with the College community, the Director of International Education will provide vision, leadership, and planning for international education initiatives consistent with the College's Strategic and Operational Plans. The Director oversees support services for students participating in intensive English programs, study abroad, global learning activities, and international student advising for transition after college. Serving as a key administrative leader, the Director is responsible for leading recruitment and outreach efforts with the goal to increase the percentage of international student enrollment at SVC. The Director is the College’s Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) for immigration compliance matters and international student record maintenance. The Director works closely with the College community to further the College's mission, vision, and core themes, consistent with the guiding principles.This is an exempt, 100% of full-time position, reporting directly to the Vice President of College Advancement. The position requires strategic vision, a collaborative work style, and excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will value the College's mission and demonstrate a leadership style that complements and enhances the College's ability to serve our diverse communities.About us: Nestled between the Cascade Mountains and Puget Sound in the northwest corner of Washington State, Skagit Valley College is located 60 miles north of Seattle and 80 miles south of Vancouver, BC. Based in Mount Vernon, the college also serves a campus in Oak Harbor, and centers in Langley, Anacortes and Friday Harbor. SVC is nationally known for its learning communities and for a strong commitment to student success.What we offer: A salary of $85,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on experience.
